Out of Africa, Part 1
Out of Africa is a 4-day project class that is being taught over two separate weekends. The first two days, Friday and Saturday, November 20 and 21, 2015 will be followed by the final two days, Friday and Saturday, February 5 and 6, 2016.
As the fifth of Tony's international textile designs, Out of Africa is based on the fantastic African batik and mud cloth patterns from Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, Namibia, Botswana, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Senegal, Tanzania, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. Beads, silk and metallic threads are used and are stitched on 24-count Congress cloth.
Two colorways are available: original (colorful) or neutrals.
